Abandoned Nuc Expansion Sequence

I worked on this during summer '14 and felt raaaaaaaather guilty about it. You see max did ten artworks in total for me during that trade that mostly never surfaced beyond messages. I thought there was no way I could possibly catch up to all that art in any reasonable time frame so I offered to do a 2 colorings for him, a sequence of 4 parts (which I was planning to make an extra fifth part in for some reason or other, but only parts 2-5 were attempted) and then make up the remaining 4 in non-expansion chibis during fall (which I did). idk why in god's name I thought doing a sequence would help me repay my art debt quicker, because it certainly didn't. After all, I had been working on a sequence since DECEMBER, but it I put it aside to do this one, thinking the old one was too hard to work with and that having a fresh start I could easily get it done no time.

Ironically however the opposite happened. In the early days of this artwork I was zooming along at a decent pace but the further I got into it the more difficult it became to progress any further. I think my main problem was that I was all over the place with it with no logical order of completion. I think I started with drawing part 4 and 5 back and forth, then part 3, then I colored 4, worked on 3 and 5 back and forth then worked further on 4 briefly, colored 3 WHILE I WAS STILL TRYING TO DRAW IT, drew part 2, colored most of 5 and so on. does that give you a headache? it fucking should. nowadays I make sure I'm done with all the lineart completely before I start coloring pretty much, and more I importantly I make sure I draw the sequence from begining to end rather than some illogical arbitrary order.

Anyways, Summer '14 obviously came to an end before this got done and by the time Winter break started and it was time to finish it, I decided it was too crappy to work on, so I scrapped this, started over, and you will see what became of that shortly.....
